As a therapist i am very caring and dedicated to provide the highest level of care for all my clients.

As an ex-gymnast myself I’m aware of the impact that sport and physical activity can have on the body. I know personally that a sports massage therapist has helped me perform to a higher standard, due to relieving pain and tension, it puts a positive impact on preventing injury and aiding the recover process.

Sports massage often involves a fast-paced massage, stretching and other approaches, depending upon the sport in which you participate or where your pain is (remember though, you don’t have to be a regular sports athlete to have a sports massage). It can be tailored to be used as a pre-workout stretch and opportunity to warm up the muscles or used as a post-workout massage designed to reduce soreness and increase flexibility.

A session includes direct compression to the soft tissue, picking up and squeezing the skin and muscle, rubbing, compression, and cross-fibre friction to the problem area. This type of massage sometimes it’s the most relaxing due to getting deep into the muscle, however I will only go as deep as the client is comfortable.

Cupping is a form of massage therapy which decompresses soft tissues using vacuum suction, unlike other forms of massage that compresses soft tissues.  During cupping, the cup gently sucks to your skin and lifts underlying soft tissue into the cup.
 
Cupping is very relaxing and generally not painful.  The sensation that is experienced is a pulling of the skin as the cup is moved in a rolling fashion.  Redness or a feeling of warmth is usually experienced after the release of the cup due to increase blood flow to the area. 
 
Almost anyone can benefit from cupping.  It is used to treat lack of mobility, tight muscles, scars and many diagnoses like headaches, tendinitis, bursitis, plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia, and release of trigger points.

The main difference between dry and wet cupping is the use of a scalpel to create small scratches on the patient's skin. This act draws out stagnant blood, offering relief from pain.
Since wet cupping involves blood, a patient's skin must be thoroughly cleaned to prevent infection. Wet cupping is usually performed following a dry cupping session. For maximum effectiveness, it is recommended that no food be consumed for two to three hours before wet cupping.
The main reason why wet cupping is often used over dry cupping is as follows:
• Wet cupping stimulates the flow of blood and chi almost immediately. Therefore, it can be considered the fastest method of cupping when comparing results.
