While dermaplaning is a gentle and safe treatment for most skin types, it may not be suitable for everyone.

Active or cystic acne – This treatment may irritate or spread breakouts.

Rosacea or extremely sensitive skin – May cause redness or discomfort.

Skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis on the face – Can trigger flare-ups.

Open wounds, cuts, or cold sores – Wait until the skin is fully healed.

Recent use of Accutane (within 6–12 months) – Skin may be too delicate.

Sunburn or windburn – Treatment can cause further irritation.

Bleeding disorders or use of blood thinners – There is a slight risk of nicking the skin.

Excess facial hair due to hormonal conditions – While dermaplaning removes hair, it won’t treat the cause.
