This appointment is mandatory if you are new to Firefly Pilates.
It is intended as a taster session to see if Pilates is appropriate and safe for your body and fitness goals.
 
During the 45 minute appointment, if Sam feels Pilates is appropriate and safe for your body she may conduct a postural assessment and introduce some Pilates exercises on either the Mat, Tower or Reformer. This will be the bases onto which she can plan and tailor future programs.

One to one Pilates lessons are for everyone, ages 11-90+.
Firefly Pilates "has your back". You'll learn:
All the Pre-Pilates/ Fundamental exercises to improve range of movement and develop strength in all planes of movement.
The Classical Pilates Repertoire used on all studio apparatus, as designed by Joseph Pilates ( some modifications and variations may be necessary to accommodate injuries etc ).

You'll gain:
Strength, body awareness, confidence & flexibility.

Every “body” is unique. Very large group Pilates lessons are cheaper but can mislead clients as to what REAL Pilates is, and also restrict the individual’s ability to maintain proper form and safety. 
Tailored one to one lessons bring noticeable personal progress especially when done correctly! As time goes on, Sam continues to appropriately modify and merge movement skills to create better muscular balance, mobility, flexibility, strength and self-confidence. After just ten sessions, clients feel amazing!

A 45-60 minute contemporary Pilates fitness class with focus on fun, age-appropriate movements that promote postural awareness, breath work for stress relief, weight management, aerobic activity and muscle-strengthening.

Child age 11-16 duet or 1:1

Enjoy a one hour session with your partner, friend or family member. It's a great way to share the cost of your fitness hour and enjoy share the experience and progression of your Pilates journey. The session involves a more contemporary concept of Pilates, by incorporating circuit style exercising. Pilates Principles are still honoured as we make sure to move with intension and precision, as well as good alignment and whole body movement.  

2:1 Duet Session

2 : 1 Duet Circuit Pilates

Enjoy a half hour of assisted stretching as well as self mobilisation. An emersion of techniques inspired by Pilates, Yoga and Ballet may be done, using a variety of props such as rollers, large and small Pilates Apparatus, and more. You will feel mobilized, lengthened and relaxed following your sessions.

A half hour session designed for clients who have:

Restricted mobility and flexibility.
Injuries, aches and pains.
Tension and "stuck stress" in the tissues.

Included:
Sports Massage, Foam Roller techniques, Facilitated stretching techniques and more.

The result:
You will feel relaxed, and notice an improvement in your range of movement and flexibility. One to three sessions a week may give noticeable, lasting results that can positively impact your active daily living. 

For a full hour please double up and book two consecutive appointments side by side.  

Sports Massage & Myofascial Release

1:1 hourly. 
Home Visits are lessons designed for anyone who is unable to make it to the Firefly Pilates studio; or they have their own studio at home where they would prefer to be trained. 

Clients can expect to use a range of small Pilates equipment such as bands, The Magic Circle, balls, dowel poles, The Fletcher Towel, The Spine corrector and more.

Movements may include exercise that Sam feels is appropriate for the client and their needs and may cover Pilates, yoga, Tai Chi and other exercise movements. 

Where possible whole body movement in all ranges of movement will be covered so the client feels worked and physically balanced.
