These days children and teenagers are now under more pressure than ever to perform well and achieve. This places their physical, mental and emotional health under constant duress. Not only this, the ever-increasing (but not always truly known or understood) peer pressures perpetuated and propagated by social media are – rightly or wrongly – a reality that simply adds to anxieties that today’s youngsters suffer all too often. 
With such pressure on them, it is essential that they are able to find ways to either release stress or reduce anxieties. Reflexology has been extensively studied as an aid and treatment for the purpose of reducing stress and anxiety, for both children and adults alike. It’s the perfect antidote to stress and can help improve cognitive function.  



Teen reflexology 

Reflexology has been found to be very effective in helping both the physical and emotional symptoms of the menopause without the side effects associated with drug based treatments. It truly is a wonderful therapy to help women in their journey through the menopause.

Reflexology will help to regulate the peripheral nervous system, achieved by stimulating the pituitary gland, the hypothalamus and the thymus reflex points. It can also make some of these changes more bearable and relieve the stress and tension that can cause so many side effects.

Reflexology will help put hormones back into balance and act like a process of emotional cleansing which can relieve stresses and restore harmony to the body and the soul.

Menopause reflexology 

Fertility reflexology promotes deep relaxation, maximising the chances of conception. Stress is a significant factor that affects fertility as chronic/ongoing stress causes the body to produce stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. These slow the production of reproductive hormones, making it harder to conceive

It helps to normalise the menstrual cycle and correct hormonal imbalances. By stimulating the reproductive organs, it synchronises ovulation and improves sperm production
 
It can help clients undergoing IVF treatment as the increased blood circulation seems to enhance the effects of medical fertility treatment. I work with clients up to egg transfer/implantation and then again after 12 weeks, once the pregnancy has become established

It provides a much-needed opportunity to escape from stress and worry. Many of my clients arrive despairing, upset and often angry about their difficulties conceiving. I am able to support them through these emotions.
