Abhyanga ~ Ayurvedic Oil Massage

Warm up and get a sweat on for a powerful detox in our infrared sauna! We highly recommend adding an infrared sauna to your treatments for a deeper cleansing and relaxing experience.

Infrared Sauna

A luxurious Ayurvedic healing experience where warm aromatic oil is poured in a continuous soothing stream over the third eye, forehead, and scalp for some time to calm the mind and nourish the head and scalp. This ritual begins with a hot stone foot massage, and massage of the hands, decolletage, neck, and shoulders, the Shirodhara then follows for 30 minutes guiding you into deep relaxation. To awaken your senses the ritual ends with a luxurious facial and scalp massage. Shirodhara is known to ease headaches, anxiety, stress, fatigue & insomnia. 

Calm Mind Ritual ~ Massage & Shirodhara 

A Kansa wand is an Ayurvedic beauty tool made from bronze that helps to detoxify the skin and enhance circulation and hence complexion. Guasha is also a massage tool made from quarts crystal when used helps to relieve facial tension, and can lift and de-puff the face. This add on includes a mini cleanse to to prepare this skin and facial oil for the massage and is a great add on to any mind-body ritual.

Vata Nourish ~ Hot Oil & Herbal Poultice Massage (Kizhi Bolus)

A traditional Ayurvedic full-body massage using cooling herbal oils, and freshly prepared red rice poultices soaked in milk. This treatment is cooling, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and is perfect during hot weather and to balance Pitta Dosha.

Pitta Soothe ~ Milk & Rice Poultice Massage (Navara Kizhi)

In this treatment traditionally known as Udwarthanam warm herbal oil is massaged into the body to promote circulation and lymphatic drainage and then powdered detoxifying herbs are vigorously rubbed over the body to exfoliate the skin and draw out toxins through the pores. This is followed by 25 minute infrared sauna, and shower afterwards, leaving you feeling light and cleansed in body and mind. *** This treatment is recommended for anyone wanting to cleanse and tone their body, and for anyone feeling symptoms of excess Kapha such as lethargy, congestion, and water retention or swelling. 

Kapha Cleanse ~ Detoxifying oil massage, herbal body scrub & sauna (Udwarthanam)

This nurturing ritual focuses on healing the Heart chakra with the Ayurvedic treatment Hridaya Basti which is a technique of holding warm aromatic oils within a dough well over the heart chakra point to soothe the heart's energy. During this process, you will be guided to connect with your heart space, release difficult emotions, and tap into love. This ritual also includes a delightful upper body, face, and scalp massage and is completed with an aromatic foot bath.

Heart Chakra Healing Ritual  ~ Hridaya Basti 

Kati Basti is an 'oil pooling' technique for pain relief. It involves medicated herbal oil heated to a specific temperature & applied within a dough well over the affected area to improve blood circulation, calm inflammation and relax the muscle and nourish the tissues. It is useful for general back pain, as well as sciatica, nerve compression, and vertebral disc issues. The temperature of the oil is maintained for 20 minutes and after the basti is removed the back is steamed and massaged simultaneously. As a part of this treatment, you take home a 200ml bottle of medicated oil for your personal use. A set of treatments is recommended for chronic pain. 

Kati Basti ~ Ayurvedic musculoskeletal treatment for back pain

Experience sweet relief with this deep tissue massage using Ayurvedic herbal oils for pain management. This treatment can be a full body experience or can be focused used on target areas and uses deep pressure and trigger points to relieve tension and improve flexibility in the tissues. From the Ayurvedic perspective, deep tissue is best suited to Kapha or Pitta-Kapha body types and for people who experience deep stubborn tension.

Nasya is a cleansing treatment where herbal medicated oil is administered into the nasal passages for delivery to the sinuses and upper respiratory tract to treat a range of conditions such as headaches, sinusitis, and hay fever, and to eliminate excess Kapha (mucus) and congestion and improve respiration.
This treatment starts with an invigorating herbal oil scalp and chest massage, then the face is steamed and massaged with warm stones to open the airways and loosen mucus. Warm towels are applied over the face and the herbal nasal drops are administered into each nostril and the cleansing process begins. A second dose may be given if necessary and after that a turmeric and salt water gargle is given. A short consult is included in this booking to help identify causative factors. 

Nasya Shirovirechna ~ Sinus cleanse for easy breathing & immune support

A restorative treatment that nourishes, hydrates & soothes tired & irritated eyes. In this treatment a dough well is placed around each eye and the eyes are bathed in warmed clarified ghee. Then rose water pads are placed over the eyes and the scalp is massage, afterwards the face, eye area and associated pressure points are massaged using a Kansa wand. This treatment helps to protects the eyes from degeneration, dryness, light exposure & environmental factors.
