Learn how clients book appointment online
In this guide, you'll gain valuable insight into the client’s booking journey, and see how your marketplace set up shapes the way clients interact with and book your business.
How clients can book appointments online
Clients can discover and book with your business in a variety of ways. New and returning clients can browse your services, check availability, and book appointments directly through your Fresha online profile.
Fresha marketplace: Clients can search for specific treatments or venues in their area using the Fresha marketplace. Your profile appears in relevant search results, making it easy to discover and book.
Booking link: Using your dedicated booking link from the Link Builder tab, you can create “Book Now” buttons for your website and social media pages, making it easy for clients to book online. You can also share the link directly with clients via text, email, or messaging apps.
QR Code: Print your unique QR code from the Link Builder tab and display it on your website, social media, or in your salon window. Clients can scan the code with their phone to instantly access your online profile and book their appointment.
Google Reserve: Clients can discover your business by searching your venue name or related services on Google. Your Google Business Profile will appear prominently in the search results, allowing clients to view key details and book directly through Reserve with Google.
Based on your business settings, clients will be able to choose a stylist at booking stage, then leave a tip, and write a review after their visit.
Booking an appointment online
- From your marketplace profile, clients can explore your venue images, browse your services, and view key business details, such as opening hours and location, before clicking 'Book now'.
- Clients can then choose to book an appointment for themselves, or for a group. Depending on your setup, the client also has the option to purchase gift cards and products directly from your business.
- Step 1: Services
The booking journey begins with clients selecting their desired treatment from your service list. Clients can choose multiple services to include in a single appointment. - Step 2: Professional
Depending on your Online availability settings, clients will next be able to pre-select a specialist to perform their treatment. - Step 3: Time
Clients can view your real-time availability, up to 6 months in advance, based on your Online availability settings and select their preferred date and time. - Step 4: Confirm
In the final step, clients review their booking details, including the service, date and time, selected team member, and total price. They’ll also see any important information about your business and can leave a booking note for your team. Once confirmed, their appointment will appear in your calendar and the selected time slot will be reserved.
Leaving a review
Based on your Automation settings, you can enable Thank You for Visiting messages to be sent to clients via email and text. These messages are triggered as soon as the appointment is checked out in your calendar and prompt clients to leave a star rating based on their experience.
- Clients can view their past appointments in their Fresha client account and can rate their experience with your business.
- Clients are also able to leave a written review to be published on your marketpace profile.
Clients have up to 30 days after their appointment to leave a review, and your business can respond at any time. We recommend replying regularly to build stronger relationships and show clients that you value their feedback.
