What is a service portfolio?
Your service portfolio is a visual extension of your business, showcasing high-quality images that highlight your work and treatment results. Whether you run a hair salon, nail salon, or gym, your service portfolio shows clients what results they can expect when visiting your business.

Your service portfolio is part of your Marketplace profile, meaning your online profile must be listed for it to appear on the Fresha marketplace.
Set up your service portfolio
- From the main menu on the left of your screen, go to Marketplace profile.
- Select Marketplace profile from the left menu panel.

- Click on the Portfolio tab and select Get started to begin setting up your service portfolio.

- Before you begin your portfolio setup, review our Treatment portfolio photography guidelines for top tips on showcasing your work.
- Select the Continue button in the top right to proceed to the next step.

- From the upload page, click on the Choose a file button to upload images.

- Next to each treatment image, search for the service shown and tag it. Tagging the service displayed allows clients to book it directly from the image.

- Once your images have been tagged with the associated service, click on the Add button in the top right to proceed to the next step.

- Your images will be automatically categorized according to the tagged service.

- Images without a tagged service will be listed under 'Untagged' and will not display a Book now button to clients.
- Drag and drop each image to change the order of how they are displayed on your profile.
- Click on the Save button in the top right to upload your treatment portfolio.

- Once your portfolio has been created, click on the Done button.

Once you create your service portfolio, it will appear on your live Fresha marketplace profile, and clients can view the images when browsing your service list.
Images with a tagged service will include a Book now option, so clients can book the service directly while browsing your service portfolio.
Add images directly to a service
As an alternative to setting up your service portfolio from your Marketplace profile, you can upload images directly to a service in your catalog.
- From the main menu on the left of your screen, go to Catalog.
- Select Service menu from the left menu panel.

- Click on a service from the service menu to update.
- In the Edit service view, select Portfolio images from the left menu panel.

- Click on the Choose a file button to upload images. Drag and drop each image to change the order of how they are displayed on your profile.
- Click on the Save button in the top right to save your changes.

- Once saved, any images tagged to the service will display a Book now button so clients can book directly from the image.
Once you upload an image to a service, it will appear in your marketplace profile under your service portfolio gallery. Clients can also view a tagged service image when selecting a service during booking.
Manage your portfolio images
Reorder service categories, edit or remove image tags, or delete images from your gallery.
- From the main menu on the left of your screen, go to Online booking.
- Select Marketplace profile from the left menu panel and open the Portfolio tab to view your gallery.

- On the left, click on the Edit button to manage your gallery images.

- Click on the Actions (three dots) button in the top right of your screen, select Rearrange order to reorder your service categories as they are shown to your clients.
- Drag and drop the service categories in the order you want clients to view them in your Fresha marketplace profile and click Save in the top right to update your changes.

- In the image you want to edit, click on the three dots and select from the following options:
- Edit tag: click on Edit tag to update the image tag. Next, click on the Remove tag option and enter the service name of the new tag.
- Remove tag: click on Remove tag to remove the service tag from the image. Once selected, the image will be moved to the 'Untagged' category.
- Delete: click on Delete to remove the image from your portfolio.
- Once updated, click on the Save button in the top right of your screen, to save your changes.

You can manage your service portfolio visibility in your Online booking options. To hide tagged portfolio images from services and disable the Book now option under a service image, uncheck Display tagged portfolio images on services.
FAQs
- When browsing your service portfolio, clients can select Book now on any image with a tagged service to book an appointment.
- When booking an appointment, clients can view the tagged image for a service while selecting what they want to book.
Each image can only be tagged with one service. If you want to include more than one service, you can create a bundle with all related services, then tagging the bundle in the image. For example, if a manicure photo includes acrylic gel and French tip services, you can create a bundle with both services and tag that bundle instead.
To remove an image, open your Marketplace profile in your Fresha account and go to Portfolio. Under the image you want to remove, click on the three dots and select Delete to remove the image from your portfolio. Click on the Save button to save your changes.
Clients can view your service portfolio in two places on your Fresha marketplace profile:
When creating your service portfolio from your Marketplace profile, any images that you upload without a tagged service will appear under ‘Other’. These images will not display a Book now option, as they do not have a tagged service.
