Add and manage client patch tests
Add and manage client patch tests
Guarantee your clients' safety by incorporating patch testing for certain services to spot allergies. Learn how to set up patch test requirements for services and keep track of results, making them easily accessible across client profiles and appointments.
Getting started
Patch tests are an essential safety precaution for certain services. Before implementing them, we recommend:
- Checking the legal requirements for patch tests for the services you offer.
- If you are a team member, you'll need to request permission under "Customers" to view client patch tests when booking appointments. If you want to add or edit patch tests, you need permission under "Can see client contact info".
How patch tests work
When offering clients specific treatments, it may be legally required to perform a patch test at least 48 hours before the appointment to check for any allergies or reactions.
To help make sure patch tests are never missed, you can set patch test requirements for specific services, ensuring clients and your team members are informed ahead of the appointments.
- When booking a service online that requires a patch test, clients will be prompted to confirm if they have a valid patch test. If the client confirms that they don't have a valid patch test, a notification will alert them to complete one in-store at least 48 hours before their appointment.
- When adding an appointment that requires a patch test to your calendar, you'll see an alert on the service that has the patch test requirement.
