Understand how clients use gift cards
Enhance your business by offering gift cards, making it easy for clients to redeem, book appointments, and share with loved ones. Learn how to help you understand how clients can make the most of their gift cards.
Getting started
Before diving into how clients use gift cards, make sure you’ve set everything up:
- Set up gift cards.
- Set up and publish your Marketplace profile.
- Enable payment processing if you’re in a payment-enabled country to receive online gift card payments.
Redeeming gift cards
Gift cards can currently only be redeemed in-store.
Clients can provide their gift card code in one of two ways:
- The client can present their gift card code from their original invoice.
- You can locate the gift card by opening Sales, selecting Gift cards sold, and searching by code or the client’s/purchaser’s name.
When your client is ready to redeem their gift card, simply follow the standard process at checkout.
Booking an appointment with a gift card
Clients can book an appointment using their gift card, but the gift card can only be redeemed in-store.

To book an appointment with a gift card, clients must use their Fresha client app and follow the below steps:
- Open their profile by clicking on their Avatar icon in the top right corner.
- Select Gift cards.
- Choose the gift card they want to use and click Book now.
- Follow the steps to schedule an appointment.

Sharing gift cards
Clients can easily share a gift card with friends or family.

To share a gift card, clients must use their Fresha client app and follow the below steps:
- Open their profile by clicking on the Avatar icon.
- Select Gift cards and choose the gift card they want to share.
- Click on More options, then select Share gift card.
- Choose a style for the gift card and click Continue.
- Fill out the required information to share the gift card.
- Click Continue to review the gift card details, then select Share gift card to confirm and complete the process.
To share a gift card, clients must use their Fresha client app and follow the below steps:
- Open their profile by tapping on the Avatar icon in the top right corner.
- Select Gift cards and choose the gift card they want to share.
- Tap on More options, and then select Share gift card.
- Choose a style for the gift card and tap Continue.
- Fill out the required information to share the gift card.
- Tap Continue to review the gift card details, and then Share gift card to confirm and complete the process.
Once the gift card has been shared, it will move from the Active gift cards section to the Expired or shared section.
Viewing gift cards

Clients can easily view and manage their purchased gift cards through their Fresha account
To view gift cards clients will need to:
- Open their profile by clicking on their Avatar icon in the top right corner.
- Select Gift cards.
- They can view a list of Active, Expire and Shared gift cards.
- Click on a gift card to view the full details.
