100% of proceeds from these ornaments will be donated to Coast to Cascades Grizzly Bear Initiative Wooden ornaments custom designed and made to depict our beautiful mountain landscapes. In the interior of this design you'll see our beloved local mama bear and her two cubs. Their loss was heartbreaking for our community, and I wanted to offer a keepsake for people to remember them, while providing the opportunity to contribute to a positive future for other grizzlys in the territory. The Coast to Cascades Grizzly Bear Initiative is a non profit organization that works to protect and recover threatened grizzly bears in southwest British Columbia. They are heavily involved in our community; among many things, they offer education, hazing techniques (to keep grizzlys out of our residential areas), support to local farmers in securing their attractants via subsidized electric fencing materials and hands on help installing, and much more :)
