I have worked in Dublin for over 20 years as a multi disciplinary therapist. I am delighted to be setting up with Waterford. I am particularily excited to be offering Somatic Expereincing to the South East of Ireland from my base in Waterford. I am an accredited Psychotherapist.  I also practice and teach Reiki and Shamanism. 

I like to create  safe space  where clients can be heard and supported in a non judgemental and confidential way. Take their time to make life transitions and the turnabout necessary for them to move forward on their souls journey.

Time for Me SE

THIS IS A SPECIAL OFFER PRICE. This session is an opportunity for you to meet with me and discuss what you would like to achieve. It allows time for me to take some background information, medical history and to discuss your presenting issue. We then proceed with your chosen therapy for 1 hour. When this session is complete, we discuss the outcome, how you wouldl ike to proceed and soul work for when you go home. 

Initial Intake Session 

Reiki is a gentle healing therapy. Clothes are kept on as you lie on a plinth, covered warmly, with relaxing background music. It is a very beautiful, deeply reassuring therapy to receive. The energy will leave you refreshed, revived and revitalised. I am a Reiki Master which means that I also also teach all levels of Reiki and have practiced Reiki for many years. 

Reiki is a gentle but powerful hands on healing art. It helps restore balance and harmony to your mind and body. It is used throughout the world by people of all races and belief systems. Reiki is something that can benefit people of all ages from children to adults including during pregnancy. Reiki can assist with many conditions. It helps boost the immune system, reduce stress, increase energy levels, enhance self-confidence, and helps in the grieving process. It compliments conventional therapies and benefits both chronic and acute medical conditions.

Reiki

Somatic Experiencing is a body-based therapy for the treatment of trauma.  Trauma resides in the body as trapped energy, which may have become fixed when the body was over-whelmed and became stuck in fright, flight or freeze.  This gentle approach allows the trauma to be released gradually in a controlled manner without the need for you having to re-experience the original trauma. It is not even necessary to go over the story again. 

This is a scientifically proven technique, which is suitable for helping many types of trauma including those traumas where the person may have no implicit memory of the trauma.  Developed by Dr Peter Levine, who discovered that animals in the wild whose lives are routinely threatened by predators are not traumatised compared to humans where the natural release of energy from trauma can be interrupted by social and/or cultural influences.  Somatic experiencing allows the person to tune into this natural process and become resourced and resilient again.

Clients are welcomed into a calm, supportive space where we begin with an open conversation about why they are seeking therapy and their expectations. Together, we will agree on a contract for several sessions and set therapy goals. Therapy is client-led, meaning I will support you in exploring the areas you wish to examine. While there is an initial focus, the content of each session adapts to meet your evolving needs. This flexible approach allows for self-exploration and personal growth at your own pace. I am a pluralistic Psychotherapist which means I studied many techniques, from humanistic to gestalt, to Logotherapy and grief and breavement therapy. I am a multi disciplinary therapist with 20+ years experience.  

.I am accredited with the IACP, professional body, the Irish Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists. This means you can claim costs back from health insurance if you have it, depending on your package.
