Big days oot is an all day adventure for your pooch on specific dates of each month on Saturdays.

Commando Canines offer one pack walk (maximum four customer dogs) a day Mon-Fri 10:00-11:30 picking up and dropping off your furry friend before and after meaning your poochio will get over one hour paws on the floor time in an enriching environment with a fully trained and insured canine behaviourist and Royal Marines veteran. Contract and pre consultation required please message to arrange. This will be a 20 minute walk to assess behaviour and establish extent of recall. Any size dog welcome. Payments will be invoiced weekly.

Hand stripping vs clipping Hand stripping maintains a proper wire coat, while clipping makes it soft and alters the texture. Wire hair has a unique structure. There are three parts; Hard Wire Point, Semi Hollow Hair, Soft base and lightly anchored into the skin. DNA determines coat growth. The DNA will state, “I am a Border Terrier, so my coat has to be coloured brown and 1 inch long before I shed”. Every dog will shed their coat, but some are not as regular as others. This helps give each breed its unique look. Our human hair is not determined by DNA and will continue to grow until we cut it. Each individual wire hair has a hard wire point and is semi hollow down to about the undercoat level. It is very soft at the base and only lightly anchored in the follicle meaning the hairs pull out easily and this does not cause the dog pain.
