Rural Rehabilitation offer one-to-one assessments and rehabilitation delivered in my treatment room and private gym and can work with any level of fitness with a view to assisting repair of injuries or helping to avoid them in the first place, alongside general maintenance, pre- and post- sporting event management, or surgical recovery.

Sports massage is a deep form of soft tissue mobilisation. A sports massage is used for general and deep relaxation of the muscular skeletal system as well as being directed towards any problem areas.
Sessions may include cupping therapy and joint mobilisation and manipulation to release areas of built up tension, where appropriate and clinically reasoned by the clinician.

Full detailed history taken of Medical Background and Injury, Hands on Assessment, Diagnosis, Appropriate Treatment & Individual Rehab Programme (Home &/or Gym Based), Education on your injury and Plan put in place for continued treatment. 

You would need to book an Injury Assessment appointment even if you have been seen before but it was for a seperate injury or condition and you have a new problem. For Example - we saw you 6months ago for a shoulder injury but now you have a lower back or knee injury you would be requires to book this appointment so that we can do a full assessmnet on the new problem area. 

Injury Assessment 

Your initial appointment will be for approximately 60 minutes and will include a full assessment of breathing patterns, posture / alignment, any abdominal separation (Diastasis Recti) and we will also complete some dynamic movements. 
During the session we will discuss your medical history and what your concerns/  goals are for your scar and propose a treatment plan to meet your needs. 
I will manually palpate your scar and abdominal area to understand your scar tissue in more depth and will provide some treatment during this session. As well as showing you some self massage techniques for you to continue doing at home between sessions. 

Scar Therapy  - Initial Assessment 

Your Scar Tissue Follow-Up  appointment will be for 45 minutes and will include a repeat assessment of any problem areas found in your initial assessment (breating patterns, posture / alignment, any abdominal separation (Diastasis Recti) or dynamic movements).  
During the session we will discuss your scar progression and  check on what your concerns/  goals are for your scar. 
We will then continue with our planned treatment making any adaptations if needed. 

Scar Therapy -  Follow-Up

60 minute appointment including treatment of the injury or area. As well as an individual rehab programme provided, delivered and progressed on a 1-1 basis,  for you to complete in the gym with myself during your appointment. 
With an eletronic copy of your programme sent to you for you to then replicate in the gym and at home to help your recovery in-between appointments. 

1-1 Post Surgery or Injury Rehabilitaion

A block of 5 sessions 
60 minute appointment including treatment of the injury or area. As well as an individual rehab programme provided, delivered and progressed on a 1-1 basis,  for you to complete in the gym with myself during your appointment. 
With an eletronic copy of your programme sent to you for you to then replicate in the gym and at home to help your recovery in-between appointments.

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice involving the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body. The goal is to stimulate these points to balance the flow of energy or "qi" along pathways known as meridians. It is commonly used to alleviate pain, promote wellness, and treat various health conditions. The needles are typically inserted shallowly and may be manipulated manually or through electrical stimulation

Acupuncture is used alongside other treatment therapies such as massage and exercise therapy to maximise your responce and appointment and is done so within the background of clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.

Support strapping applied using Zinc and EAB tape to compress an injuy to aid reduction of swelling or immobilise/stabilise a joint to aid recovery. 

Fixed Support Strapping 

Appliction of Kinesiology or Dynamic tape to an injured area to help offload the muscle and /or joint whilst allowing movement.
