Deep Tissue massage involves applying firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia. it is used for chronic aches and contracted areas such as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscles tightness and sore shoulders. It can be intense but aims to release chronic patterns of tension, improve range of motion and promote overall muscle and joint health. it's important to communicate with the therapist about your comfort level during a deep tissue massage.
