One area

The Skin pen is passed over the area to be treated, and inserts tiny needles into the skin, leaving micro puncture wounds. This triggers the bodies wound healing response and encourages the body to release skin cells in that area. While the body repairs the skin, it increases the production of collagen and elastin, immediately plumping the area, and causing wrinkles to diminish. As the body repairs the skin you will also see scarring, dark marks and sun damage decrease.

Micro-needling is also effective for hair regeneration. The process works in much the same way; as the wound healing response takes place, it stimulates blood circulation and increases nutrients reaching the hair follicles, this combined with the stimulation of proteins in the area can result in new hair growth. Results may vary from person to person.

Microneedling

Profhilo is a hyaluronic acid gel that works by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. This increase in new collagen and elastin production makes the skin more plump and glowy.

This injectable formula has one of the highest and most stable molecules of hyaluronic acid concentrations of any product. It has been known over the last few years as 'THE INJECTABLE MOISTURISER' and now Profhilo has a new baby - Structura.
 
Both products work by binding to the hydration molecules in your skin and spark dormant fibroblast tissue to generate collagen and elastin. Structura has a higher hyaluronic acid concentration but is more suited to those who have dramatic weight loss of the face and older clients with more advanced signs of ageing.

It is advised to have 2 sessions of profhilo spread 2 to 4 weeks apart. This will ensure you will gain the most beautiful hydrated skin from within!

PRP treatment itself is a relatively quick procedure in which a sample of blood is obtained from the arm - the amount of this sample depends on the size of the area needed to treat. The blood is then carefully spun to separate the red blood cells from the plasma. This golden plasma obtained, contains a rich concentration of platelets and growth factors. The PRP is then gently injected into the area we need to treat using very fine needles.

For hair loss, PRP offers a non-surgical treatment option for both men and women with little downtime (approximately half an hour.) Many also consider PRP a natural treatment because it utilises natural growth factors from the patient’s own body and some choose this in-order to avoid the potential side effects that may appear with certain medications.

With PRP therapy, a course of treatment is initially required once every 1-2 months for the first 4 sessions, after which the positive effects of PRP can be upheld with maintenance.
