Sports massage is the foundation from which our skills were developed & there are additional modalities added to our skillset which make us proud to be Soft Tissue Therapists. Working with the nervous system in mind, soft tissue therapy helps to reduce hypersensitivity & take the body out of fight or flight mode (brought about by pain stimulus), reducing the state of tension within the muscles. Viewing the muscular system as a work force that requires a balance between length & tension also allows me to treat with a more holistic approach.
