We specialize in Medical Pedicures, the treatment of Nail Mycosis(nail fungus), Athlete’s Foot Treatment, Fissures (Cracks on the soles of the feet), Ingrown Toenail Removal (basic), the removal of Corns, Thick Nail Debridement, Nail Care/Nail Trimming, Elderly Routine Footcare and Diabetic Footcare. Preventative Footcare Management is also offered through Foot Assessments, Orthotics Recommendations, foot health products /customized footcare plans.

Essential Restorative Medical Pedicure

Before a first appointment is booked for any  service, a consultation must be completed. This following checks are completed for the feet and lower leg:
• Health History
• Biomechanics
• Structural Assessment

This will identify any foot conditions and will determine the ideal service/s for the client.

Foot Consultation and Assessment

This service addresses cleaning, trimming,  and /or debriding fungal fingernail/s or toenail/s and applying an antifungal solution. The antifungal solution must be bought to complete home care and the client must return in six (6) weeks to repeat the process and for monitoring of the fungus. If you are a returning client, who has not completed a service in  three (3) months, a fresh consultation would be required unless otherwise directed by the Foot Health Practitioner. The cost of this service adresses one infected nail. The cost will increase based on how many nails are mycotic and the severity of the fungus.

Mycotic (Fungal) Nail Care 

If this is your first time booking an appointment and you are a Diabetic, a Diabetic Foot Assessment is to be booked along with this service. In this procedure, nails and calluses are softened with unique hypoallergenic solutions, and this helps to be able to clean, reducing the risk of damaging the skin. In addition, an evaluation is carried out to detect any problem that may be developing in the client’s nails or feet. Finally, removing dead cells and excess skin is done with an e-file that allows us to clean deeply without damaging your skin. At the end of your service, your skin will be hydrated with a special cream for your skin type, and you will continue to do a small massage to reactivate blood circulation. Corn removal typically involves using a scalpel to cut away the thickened skin. This treatment aims to reduce discomfort and lower the risk of infection or further damage caused by rubbing the skin against footwear. This service covers the removal of up to three corns on one foot. The cost of this service will increase based on the condition of the feet. Corn / Clavus Removal 

Persons with diabetes may be at risk of developing foot problems. Therefore it is beneficial to be screened, at least annually, to detect the presence of neuropathy, ischaemia and/or foot deformity. Annual review allows for the identification of, and monitoring of, any changes in an individual's foot risk -status. Advice is provided and referrals where necessary.

Diabetic Foot Assessment 

If this is your first time booking an appointment, a Foot Consultation must be booked along with this service. This service is for your senior loved ones who require foot care that have reduced mobility and are unable to take care of their feet. It addresses cuticle care, callus removal using the e-file and exfoliation. Fungi of the nails and/or trauma, nail debridement and fungi of the feet, warts, blisters and bunions. The feet, nails and cuticles are thoroughly cleaned using the e-file. An exfoliating scrub is then applied. Antifungal treatments are then applied. It is safe for Diabetics. Patient advice is provided and footcare products are recommended and available for purchase.

Elderly Routine Footcare

Ingrown/Involuted toenails are addressed by doing a Partial Nail Resection (PNR). The area of the toenail is cut back, to remove the ingrown/Involuted section. The cost of the service will increase based on how many additional ingrown toenails need to be addressed. If the nail is also infected with a fungus, a Mycotic (Fungal) Nail service must also be booked along with this service. In the circumstance where the ingrown toenail/s is severe or infected, surgery may be necessary to remove part of or the entire toenail. For such cases the client will be referred to a Podiatrist.

Partial Nail Resection (Ingrown Toenail Removal/ Involuted Nail Removal) 

Thick, overgrown nails can be a problem for clients who lack the mobility, have poor vision, or have some degree of neuropathy in the feet. For this service the nails are cut and filed and burrs are used to reduce their length and thickness. This service must be booked along with a Nail Care/Nail Trimming service. The starting cost of the service is per foot and will increase based on the condition of the nails.

Thick Overgrown Nail Debridement 

This service addresses callus removal and / or a fungus of the foot (Athlete’s foot), heel fissures (cracks in the heel), corns and warts. The cost of this service will increase based on the condition of the feet.

Sole Care ( Callus Reduction, Athlete’s Foot,  Cracked Heels, Corns)

This service addresses trimming, filing and shaping of the natural nails and removal of the buildup of overgrown cuticle and debris on all ten toenails. The toenails are cleaned using a scrub, after which  a steam is completed. An antifungal nail treament and nourishing foot cream is then applied. The cost if this service will increase depending on the condition of the toenails.

The feet, nails and cuticles are thoroughly cleaned using the e-file. A foot bath is then given with exfoliating scrub.  Nails are hydrated with an intense moisturizer and the feet are given a light massage. The option of a foot cream mask can be added to this service. It has booked to as separate service (which is at an additional cost). This service is only available to persons who are not Diabetic and do not have any foot health disorders (including Fungus of the nails, Athlete’s Foot, Ingrown Toenail, Corns, Warts, Excess Callus, Thick Overgrown Nails etc). If this service is selected and your feet require addressing any of the above mentioned or any additional concerns, the cost of the service will increase.
