About

Fatima has over 13 years experience in the massage therapy field. She has taken further studies including cranial sacral therapy, myofascial release techniques, muscle energy and temporal mandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ) techniques. She is currently writing her thesis to complete the last requirement of her Osteopathy Manual Practitioner Designation. She has worked as a Clinic Supervisor and Instructor for the Massage Therapy Program at the local college. Her volunteer work has included acting leader for the Girl Guides of Canada and providing massage therapy at Roger’s House. Together with her training as a massage therapist, a yoga instructor and her osteopathic techniques, Fatima is able to develop an effective treatment plan for her clients whether for relaxation or maintenance or for an injury. She assesses the body as a whole and combines different techniques to effectively treat and facilitate balanced body biomechanics. She has successfully treated numerous conditions including repetitive overuse syndromes, back pain, posture related pain and imbalances, neck and shoulder pain, headaches, motor vehicle accident injuries, and pregnancy related changes to the body. Fatima believes that the client plays an important and active role in their healing process and makes recommendations including stretching and strengthening specific muscles between massage therapy appointments. Member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, Member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario, Member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners, 2003 Certified Yoga Instructor, 2018 completed the academic portion of the designation of the Osteopathic Manual Practitioner.
